Jesus told us we must be born again to enter heaven. 

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3

Here are some indications you may be born again.

1. Have you acknowledged that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

2. Have you acknowledged that God, the Father, turned His back on Him while soldiers tortured Him and then hung Him on a cross with nails to die, then died.

3. Do you acknowledge that Christ’s death on the cross paid the penalty for your sin? The Bible says that only blood can pay the penalty for sin. Did Christ’s blood pay the penalty for all your sins?

4. Are you heartily sorry for your sins?

5. Do you feel guilty when you do something wrong? Do you hate feeling guilty? (These are signs you might be born-again.)

6. Do you have a desire to read your Bible and pray?

7. Do you have a desire to go to church?

8. Do you have a desire to grow spiritually so that God could use you to bless others with truth, hope and love?

This is a short overview of how to be born again. If you’ve never told God “Thank you for paying for my sin.” and asked Him to come into your life to transform it, then you can do this now: Pray, “Dear God, I believe You sent your only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to live a perfect life and be crucified for my sin. I ask You to forgive my sin and come into my life and help me live a new life, a life without sin. I cannot do this on my own, but with Your help, I can. So please help me. I promise to give you my life so that you can live Your life through me. Mold me into someone You are proud of. I commit to growing spiritually every day so I can become everything You need me to be. My hand is in Your hand. Go with me now, and forever, until we meet face to face. Thank you in advance for all You will do to help me. I love You. Thank you Jesus. Amen!”
