Become a Peer Support Worker

Peer Support is a recognized skill in mental health care. Governments have invested considerable finances in creating peer support guidelines. There are a number of agencies that provide training.

There are also a handful of books written on the topic. Victory Tips has written a small handbook on this topic. We’ve taken topics found in larger technical  manuals and reduced them in size to give a succinct, easy to understand synopsis of commonly held tenets of peer support. We ask that each person who seeks to become a peer support worker for Victory Tips, purchase a copy and use it as a guide while delivering peer support services in the community.

Safety for both the peer support worker and the community member seeking support is vital. Thus, we ask for references from community leaders for each candidate. Contact us if you have a sincere desire to learn how to be an effective peer support worker in the community. We will develop a relationship with you and slowly steer you toward your goal. This will be one of the best decisions you will make in your life, and you will be on your way to making a positive and lasting impact in the community where you live. Contact us today to get started.
